Pair of Top Tens for Overton During USA Nationals!

(August 2, 2026) Following the completion of the Southern Nationals Series, the Triple B Motorsports team ventured north to the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from July 30 - August 1 to compete in the 39th edition of the 'USA Nationals.' Things kicked off at Cedar Lake on Thursday with a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown. Cody Overton timed in ninth fastest in Group B during the qualifying session prior to placing second in his stacked heat race. Cody then picked off a trio of competitors during the 30-lap main event to finish a solid ninth in the final finishing order.

Friday's action at CLS was washed out, but the entire crown jewel extravaganza was held on Saturday. Cody grabbed the second transfer spot through his stacked heat race and also placed an impressive runner-up in the FANS Fund Dash. After rolling off from the inside of the sixth row in the $100,000 to win headliner, Cody was once again able to pass three cars during the 100-lapper to land in the eighth spot. (July 25, 2026) The 2026 edition of the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series wrapped up earlier this evening at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee! Cody Overton went fifth fastest overall during the time trial session prior to placing third in his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the fourth row in the 53-lap headliner, Cody streaked past five competitors to land on the podium in third behind only $10,053 victor Garrett Smith and runner-up Donald McIntosh! The Evans, Georgia ace officially finished second in the final version of the tour point standings exiting the finale at "The Taz!"

(July 24, 2026) Tonight's annual 'Young Memorial,' which was slated to pay $10,053 to the winner, was rained out early in the day. The event at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia will not be rescheduled.

(July 23, 2026) The Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series took the #97 team to Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Georgia tonight for a $7,553 to win program. Cody Overton earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session and later started the 40-lapper from the pole position. After pacing the field for the first twenty-eight circuits, Cody encountered mechanical problems and retired from the race in the twelfth finishing position.

(July 21, 2026) Following a day off, the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series action heated back up tonight at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia. A $7,544 top prize was up for grabs in the annual running of the 'Roscoe Smith Classic.' Cody Overton knocked down the fourth fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session and later rolled off from the inside of the fourth row for the start of the 44-lap headliner. Cody then advanced two spots during the course of the contest to place fifth at the checkers behind only victor Ashton Winger, Donald McIntosh, Joseph Joiner, and Dalton Cook.

(July 19, 2026) In the rescheduled show tonight at Swainsboro Raceway, Cody Overton continued his domination of the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series by picking up his third straight feature win! Cody earned Fast Time honors during the qualification session, which locked him into the pole position for the 40-lap headliner. After narrowly besting outside polesitter Ethan Dotson on the first circuit, Cody led the rest of the feature distance to pocket the $7,553 winner’s check ahead of Dotson, Wil Herrington, Dalton Cook, and Donald McIntosh!

(July 18, 2026) Surviving a three-wide tangle with frontrunners Wil Herrington and Zack Mitchell, Cody Overton inherited the point in tonight's Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals feature at Cochran Motor Speedway and led the final eleven circuits to claim his second straight tour victory. Cody, who laid down the second fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session, started third on the grid in the 40-lap main event and was running in the third spot on lap 29 when he attempted a third-to-first slide job in turn four. The tangle ultimately sent Herrington and Mitchell spinning on the frontstretch, while Overton continued on to inherit the point on the restart. From there, the Evans, Georgia native stayed out front and beat a charging Dalton Cook by 0.651 of a second to bag the $7,553 payday!

(July 17, 2026) Tonight's $7,553 to win Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series showdown at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia was washed out after hot laps and rescheduled to Sunday, July 19.

(July 16, 2026) Cody Overton, of nearby Evans, Georgia, defended his home turf tonight at Modoc Speedway to capture his first career Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series triumph! Cody stopped the clock fourth fastest in Group B during the qualifying session, which locked him into the outside of the fourth row for the start of the 42-lap ‘Ken Knight Memorial’ headliner. The driver known as “Lil’ Sexy” marched forward during the first half of the entertaining contest before making the winning pass on leader Joseph Joiner on the twenty-fourth circuit. In the waning laps, Cody stretched his lead and won by 2.303 seconds to pocket the $7,542 first place prize money!

(July 14, 2026) The Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series made their inaugural visit to Harris Speedway and a $7,553 payday was up for grabs tonight at the Rutherfordton, North Carolina venue. Cody Overton timed in second quickest in Group B during the qualifying session, which locked him into the outside of the second row for the start of the 40-lap feature. Cody was then battling for the lead early in the contest when a flat tire sent him pitside to the attention of the Triple B Motorsports crew. After restarting from the tail, the Evans, Georgia ace rallied back through the pack to salvage a steady seventh place performance.

(July 12, 2026) Tonight's $10,053 to win Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series opener at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia was rained out and will not be rescheduled. Overton Earns Pair of Outlaws Top Tens in Northern Swing

(July 1, 2026) The Triple B Motorsports team and driver Cody Overton made their debut together from June 22-30 in four high-profile World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdowns in the states of Minnesota and North Dakota. Cody showed speed throughout the northern swing and racked up a pair of top ten efforts against the national touring stars. The Peach State driver placed seventh on June 24 in a $12,000 to win shootout at I-94 EMR Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minnesota and finished eighth on June 30 in a $20,000 to win program at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minnesota.

In other action during the hectic week, Cody ran twenty-first on June 22 at Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minnesota, while he unfortunately failed to transfer into the June 26 headliner at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota due to mechanical woes. (June 14, 2026) Cody Overton and his #97 team invaded Modoc Speedway in Modoc, South Carolina on Saturday, June 13 for the 'Brian Stewart Memorial.' The Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series special shelled out a $5,074 first place prize. Cody went eighth quickest in 604 Crate Late Model qualifying and later placed eleventh in his heat race. He was then slated to start twenty-first on the grid in the 45-lapper, but chose to scratch from the headliner. Overton Joins Triple B Motorsports for Super Late Model Run

(June 10, 2026) Cody Overton and James Trantina III are excited to announce that Overton will join Trantina’s Triple B Motorsports Team, teaming up with Dan Ebert for the remainder of the 2026 season in a Super Late Model.

Overton, 28, from Thomson, Georgia, who currently has 5 wins during the ongoing 2026 season, is a Crate Late Model standout that has found success in the Super Late Model ranks as well, most recently winning a DIRTcar Summer Nationals event at the Montpelier Motor Speedway in Indiana during the 2025 ‘Hell Tour’ and winning the Winter Freeze at the Screvin Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia to start the 2026 season back in February.

Cody Overton Claims Third Win of 2026 at Modoc Speedway!

(April 12, 2026) Over the April 10-11 weekend, Cody Overton was in action at Hartwell Motor Speedway in Hartwell, Georgia and Modoc Speedway in Modoc, South Carolina. On Friday night in a $4,000 to win Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series (SAS) showdown at Hartwell, Cody qualified sixth quickest in time trials, but an incident during the 40-lap feature dropped Lil' Sexy to a disappointing fourteenth place showing.
