Dirt Series season kicked off on Friday night,
January 30 with a non-points event at Needmore
Speedway in Norman Park, Georgia. Night one of
the 'South Georgia Showdown' drew 17 competitors
to the Peach State oval to do battle for the $10,000
first place prize.
Cody Overton timed in sixth quickest during the
qualifying session prior to starting and finishing
third in his heat race. Cody then blasted past
four competitors during the 30-lap headliner to
place second at the checkered flag behind only
his brother and winner Brandon Overton. Saturday's
$10,000 to win weekend finale at Needmore Speedway
was then nixed due to inclement weather. Full

Overton Kicks Off Outlaws Season in Sunshine Nationals
(January
24, 2026) The annual ‘Sunshine Nationals’
wrapped up in a big way earlier tonight at Volusia
Speedway Park, as a $20,000 to win headliner capped
off a huge tripleheader weekend in Barberville,
Florida. In World of Outlaws Late Model Series qualifying,
Cody Overton started off his evening by laying down
the twenty-second quickest lap in Group A during
the time trial session. Following an eighth place
finish in his heat race, Cody nabbed the third transfer
spot through his B-Main. The Evans, Georgia ace
eventually netted a twenty-second place effort in

(January 23, 2026) Night two of
the 'Sunshine Nationals' took place earlier this
evening at Volusia Speedway Park and another $12,000
winner's check was up for grabs. Armed with a new
powerplant, Cody Overton returned to action tonight
in Barberville, Florida and laid down the thirteenth
quickest lap in Group A during World of Outlaws
Late Model Series qualifying. Following a fifth
place run in his heat race, Cody secured a victory
in his B-Main to gain access into the 35-lap headliner.
The Evans, Georgia ace was then able to rally past
five competitors en route to a solid twelfth place
performance.
(January 22, 2026) The World of
Outlaws Late Model Series kicked off their 2026
season tonight in the first round of the 'Sunshine
Nationals' at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville,
Florida. A 44-car field piled into the pit area
at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant to do battle
for the $12,000 first place prize money. Unfortunately,
Cody Overton hurt two motors during Wednesday's
practice session and was forced to scratch from
tonight's World of Outlaws lid lifter.

Starts '26 in Crate at Hendry County Motorsports Park
(January
18, 2026) Cody Overton kicked off his version
of the 2026 racing season on January 16-17 at Hendry
County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Florida. The
Crate Racin' USA Winter Shootout Series sanctioned
the 'Clyde Johnson Contracting & Roofing 100'
over the weekend and 26 Crate Late Model competitors
piled into the pit area to do battle for the $12,000
first place prize money.
On Friday night during preliminary action, Cody topped
his group during the qualifying session before slipping
to finish third in his heat race. In Saturday's 75-lap
main event, Cody charged from his eighth starting
spot to contend at the front early in the distance,
but a spin on the seventeenth circuit dropped him
to a disappointing twenty-first place showing. Complete

Overton Endures Trouble Late in $10,000 Turkey 100
(November
30, 2025) Cody Overton competed in the annual
running of the 'Turkey 100' on November 28-29 at Swainsboro
Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia, which closed out his 2025
season. The Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series presided
over the two-day 604 Crate Late Model showdown and 43
competitors piled into the pit area to vie for the $10,000
winner's check. On Friday night during preliminary action,
Cody timed in sixth fastest in his group during qualifying
prior to grabbing the third transfer spot through his
stacked heat race. After rolling off from the inside of
the fifth row in Saturday's 50-lap headliner, Cody was
running in the seventh position with only a few laps remaining
when he ran into problems and pulled off the racing surface
to settle for a fifteenth place showing. Complete results

Competes in Peach State Classic at Senoia Raceway
(November
16, 2025) The Steine Motorsports team was in the
pit area at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia on November
14-15 for the 'Peach State Classic' weekend, which concluded
the FloRacing Night in America Series season. On Friday
night in the $20,000 to win 'Peach Bowl' opener, Cody Overton
ran second in his heat race before a late-race spin in the
50-lap feature dropped him to a twentieth place showing.
With a $30,000 payday up for grabs in Saturday's annual
'Peach State Classic,' Cody once again finished second in
his heat race prior to getting caught up in a wreck during
the 75-lap headliner. The Evans, Georgia ace settled for
a fifteenth place performance in the caution-plagued showdown.

Overton Concludes Outlaws Season at Charlotte
(November
9, 2025) The World of Outlaws Real American Beer
Late Model Series season wrapped up from November 5-8 with
the 19th Annual 'World Finals' at The Dirt Track at Charlotte
in Concord, North Carolina. Following qualifying night on
Wednesday, a pair of $15,000 to win preliminary programs took
center stage at the 4/10-mile speedplant. In Thursday's opener,
Cody Overton ran fourth in his heat race, second in his B-Main,
and nineteenth in the 35-lap feature. On Friday, Cody once
again placed fourth in his heat race, second in his B-Main,
and nineteenth in the 35-lapper.
The 'World Finals' extravaganza then concluded
on Saturday evening in front of a jammed-packed grandstand
at the Charlotte-area facility and a $25,000 top prize was
up for grabs. Cody picked up a Last Chance Showdown victory
to advance into the 50-lap headliner and later rolled off
from the inside of the eleventh row. The Evans, Georgia
ace then picked off eleven competitors to land in the tenth
finishing position. When the final points were tallied,
Cody finished eighth in the World of Outlaws Late Model

Sixth in World Short Track Championship
(November
3, 2025) On November 1-2, Cody Overton was in the pit
area at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina
for the annual running of the 'World Short Track Championship.'
On Saturday during preliminary action for the 604 Crate Late
Models, Cody laid down the twelfth quickest time in Group B
during the qualifying session prior to advancing up to second
in his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the
fifth row in Sunday's 25-lap headliner, Cody was able to climb
to sixth to trail only $8,000 victor Michael Leach, Matt Henderson,
John Ruggiero, Jr., Trent Ivey, and Bubba Roling! Full results

(October
19, 2025) One of the biggest 604 Crate Late Model weekends
on the racing calendar greeted Cody Overton on October 17-18, as
he vied for the $30,000 payday in the 30th Annual 'Powell Family
Memorial' at All-Tech Raceway in Ellisville, Florida. On Friday
night during preliminary action, Cody timed in third quickest in
his group during qualifying prior to advancing to finish second
in his heat race. After rolling off from the sixth starting spot
in Saturday's 67-lap headliner, Cody led laps 16-36 before pulling
off the racing surface with trouble on lap 38. The Evans, Georgia
standout was officially placed twentieth in the final finishing

the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series took
the Steine Motorsports team to Boothill Speedway in Greenwood,
Louisiana on October 10-11 for the 'Bayou Classic.' In Friday's
$10,000 to win weekend lid lifter, Cody Overton won his heat race
in preliminary action prior to notching a strong third place podium
effort in the 30-lapper behind only victor Tim McCreadie and runner-up
Bobby Pierce. With a whopping $50,000 paycheck up for grabs in
Saturday's grand finale, Cody ran fourth in his loaded heat race
before picking off ten competitors during the 70-lap headliner
en route to a sterling fourth place performance behind only race
